Which two out of Rooney, RVP, Wilson, Falcao should start upfront

I would probably go for Wilson up alone with Rooney playing behind him in an ATM role. Just don't think RVP is on it at the moment and Falcao just doesn't look set for the Prem.

Naw it's just that a star is born Thizz. We got a young hungry home grown striker that knows how to put the ball in the back of the net and has bags of pace. Why not play him ahead of a £60 Million rated Striker who can't hit the target from 3 yards out.

Forget 2 ST's

should be a 4 3 3 with

Wilson     Rooney      Di Maria

Long term Wilson as lone Striker in a 4-3-3, But since Van Gaal insisting with the diamond or 3-5-2 this season Wilson and Rooney

I'm not sure where the confidence in Wilson comes from.

I get that RVP and Falcao are having a bad spell but I think it's more the system than the players.

Instead of putting Wilson in a lone role, Falcao/RVP would do better imo as lone strikers.

But looking towards the future, with this season a write off and Falcao/RVP getting on I can see why some favour Wilson.

Can't even blame the system right now. Falcao and RVP have had many chances to bag goals in these games, they are just off the boil.

3HUNNA as a CM is shit.

But fuck playing him upfront.

Play him as a #9 and instead of running the channels and staying on the shoulder of the last man he gets bored of not being on the ball all the the time and drops deep to pick it up so he can pass it to Valencia who attempts a cross that hits a defender's shins or passes it backwards.

So then you think well seeing as you wanna drop deep so much why not start him as a #10. But as last season showed he'll do the same thing as a above and when he's not doing that he'll decide during the game that he wants to be a #9 again and will stay up top next to RVP leaving the 2 CMs behind him isolated. Then their only option will be to pass the ball sideways to Valencia who attempts a cross that hits a defender's shins or passes it backwards.

Then there's the dead chip shots he attempts every game he plays upfront.

Putting aside names and reputations Wilson has more pace and movement than the alternative options and we desperately need that in the final third.

Falcao as the lone CF is the best option with two wingers

He has the best link up play, movement and by far the best finisher you have.

From watching Falcao yesterday he looked like he was playing with Ankle Weights tied round his legs. Guy couldn't control the ball half the time and constantly hits the deck like a sack of spuds.

Falcoa from 2 years ago maybe

United have serious issues. All their (main) strikers are past there best but you'd have to say Rooney is the best of the bunch at this moment in time

They need to sign soemone in summer put who can they get?

LMAO  @ Wilson leading the line

Dunno how good he is but if the rumours were true last month they will probably continue that pursuit of Dybala won't they. Henriquez and Hernandez will probably get shipped out during summer.

Rooney is currently better than RVP, Falcoa and Wilson

:lmao:  Rooney being the best out of this bunch

Have you watched RVP or Falcoa play recently? Why would you put them ahead of Rooney?

With Rooney u gotta play him in a two upfront alongside a quick strike partner to get the best outta him he's not an out and out number 9 and he's not an out and out number 10. He's a blend of both Sometimes he wants to drop deep into the CAM position and sometimes he wants to play in the box as a 9

We tried that already.

Played him alongside Welbeck or Hernandez.

Did everything to get the best outta him...

And look what happened. He scored a lot of goals but we won f*ck all.

Nope

Its either he has a good season and the team doesnt

Or the team has a good season (nani, berbs) and he doesnt

Whenever he gets over 15 league goals we don't win the league

And this is the guy that in some people's eyes has to play upfront in a team built around him, PMSL.
