Apparently it has something to do with the background you are viewing the dress against, brightness of your screen and the ambient light in the room you are viewing it from.

Its white and gold for me but I might go home and view it later and see it as blue and black.

False, I viewed the same pic from the same screen as 7 others. Four saw white and gold, four saw black and blue

It's not false. It's definitely to do with (angle of) vision and processing of light.

saw blue and black for about 2 secs after that it's only been white and gold

White and Gold for me, but scrolling through my timeline at some point I defo saw it turn black and blue for like 5 seconds scrolled back and it went back to white. Maybe we've all got different contrast settings inna di eye. Also fully aware that its black and blue in real life.
