Plate strategies

31 posts in this topic

Had this convo with the mandem a while ago and we were all different

How do you attack a plate of food?

I tend to eat the 'sides' first e.g chicken and chips I'd eat all the chips I wanted before moving onto the chicken, Caribbean food id eat the rice first before the meat, saving the best bits for last..

Couple guys say they eat the best part first (chicken) so they don't get filled up on the lesser part

Some mix it all up and randomly eat bits of each.

Might have to think about it before you answer cuz I remember i had to

Carb foundation, bit of meat and veg.

TBH if my meal doesn't consist of the above I don't feel I've eaten.

This

Unless it's a ridiculous amount of food in which case I have to strategise to fit everything in

3/4 of the main first, then 3/4 sides, then the rest at the same time.

As a young'un I used to eat like a retard, attacking the middle and eating outwards thus pushing some food over the side of the plate, mum would switch

I have since learned, I eat everything at the same time, saving a small combination of the best bits for the last mouthful

Cut a slice of meat, and garnish it with a side on the same fork. Be it rice or salad or whatever.

mcdonalds =

CHIPS THEN BURGER THEN DRINK

kfc = chips (if i ordered coleslaw... coleslaw) then chicken then drink

west indian and any other dishes = rice systematically with the meat followed by shovelling some greens onto the spoon or falk as well

it cringes me out just eating 1 bit at a time... nigga compile that shit and shovel

It's not weird , this might sound a bit weird now though.. Everyone thinks they eat a bit of everything randomly but Iv watched a couple of my guys who have said this and they would eat their whole burger first before the chips or vise versa..

Eating everything randomly seems like the normal thing to do so everyone thinks they do it but a lot of people actually don't

Example.. You've got 8 wings, rice and chips.. I'd eat the rice and chips first before tucking into the wings.. Some people would hit all the wings first then finish up on the chips and rice.. Some would have 2-3 wings, then couple chips, then a bit of rice..

I'm not talking about things that can be mixed like curry etc

its not an enjoyable meal if you're separating all the bits

unless its like a buffet where there's different types (e.g. I'm not mixing western and eastern food)

what's wrong with condiments on the side? if you put it over the food it can get too excessive or soggy or cold

and peri chips + spicy rice has always been the move, I don't mess with them other sides
