I've already seen that article. The point still stands, he lives in a fantasy. He doesn't want Nuclear war but where exactly does his influence come in with other countries? Precisely zero. Do you think if he got in Power and scrapped Trident and our Nuclear weapons that Russia, Pakistan, India etc are going to scrap theirs? No chance. So all he would be doing is saying look at us, we're wack and weak and feel free to come attack us because we can't match what you have.

Nuclear weapons IMO are what keeps World Wars from breaking out again right now. The Power Players know they have the ability to wipe each other off the planet real quick so it's a Lose-Lose situation for them. Doesn't matter if other countries haven't been bombed with Nuclear weapons, doesn't mean it couldn't happen just because it hasn't. Look how quick the Americans ended Japans will to fight. European countries are protected by Nato and it's Allies, countries with Nuclear weapons. Are you saying we should disarm and hope someone else will support us instead? If you are worried about spending money how about we stop giving the EU money and cut the Foreign Aid budget.
