What happened to The Heatmakerz?

22 posts in this topic

The production they did for Dipset 02-06 was too sick why aren't they making noise anymore in the industry their production was a big aspect of enjoying Dipset music

Their sound died out. The high pitched voices in the samples and MPC drum sound still exist today but everything is mostly synth based/Fruity/Logic programmed now.

Funny you made this thread i saw this just the other day

Try take heatmakerz for some young chop.

They produced one of the best hip hop albums of all time.

For me they fell off because the sound of hip hop has changed.

People are using shitty fruity loops, vsts and computers now instead of mpcs.

Also most rappers no longer want sampled beats because it has to be cleared and that costs money and the game dont have money like it used to

They still working. Mostly with NY emcees, guys like Fred The Godson, Joell Ortiz, Mally Stackz and Vado now and again.

It was rumoured they were back with the Set last January working on some tracks for a new mixtape but nothing seems to have materialized from that.

They tried to evolve their production a bit too much after 06/07 and flopped. TBH their sound from the early 2000's has been copied and bettered by producers from the Bay and Ohio lately.

But still, >>>>

Flavor of the year is wild

But wilder comment was making that reference to Scott storch.

NY and east coast Rap ain't been relevant for almost a decade. So it's no surprise the likes of heatmakerz work hasn't been noticed.
