Had one, was £100 then they raised it to £500, then I clocked I was using the £500 like it was my money so I asked them to revert it back to £100, then one day I thought nah I'm locking this off. Not sure that was that wise but hell this was years ago now.

No for this reason, I was doing the same. It's worth having £100 tho incase you're ever low and have a direct debit approaching etc

Same as TF I was using that money like it was mine, cleared the grand and some change and locked it off.

If you're struggling with bills it's a decent option but shouldn't be long term

Plus you don't ever want to deal with unauthorised overdraft charges Pain

I have one, covers me some months the week before pay day and means I don't have to transfer money from other accounts to my current. This month I touched -200 briefly, got charged 13p so its a minor for short term use.

If you have self control take the overdraft and don't use it. Best advice you will get.

U might be better off with a credut card feed wise.

The world is fuelled by debt

its good to have a credit card though, get up your credit score and get that interest on the money while its still sitting in your account, or get those reward points or cashback or whatever your card does

I do, but I only spend on my card no more than what is in my current account and I always budget heavily once I get my payslip for the coming month which includes making sure I have a at least £100 left over in my current account.  I'm a firm believer in living within your means.

The only reason I got a credit card is because to get my credit rating up for a mortgage in the future.  Otherwise I never would have got one.

That makes sense

Meant to say you might be better off with a credit card fee wise. Comparing credit card interest with any possible overdraft fees
