CV Writing Services

Brem

Recommended Posts

Have any of you guys ever used one of these. It seemed stupid to me to use on these given the expense but now I am seriously considering using one of these.

Any ones that come recommended through yours or your friends experiences?

What are your thoughts in general of these?

dont mean to be rude but if you need your cv to be written for you then maybe employment isn't for you. paying someone to write your cv is like paying someone to tie your shoelaces.

lol this is funny, but so untrue.

you can benefit from someone skilled in your field of work interest to write up your CV for you. the only thing that many of these services are shit.

you just have to find the right one..

youre making yourself look stupid if you cannot see the benefits in someone helping you write your CV or as you claim.. sell yourself.

why do business, political and legal executives hire image consultants then spending tens of thousands.

selling is an art that can be taught.

Lol. You're talking as though I am a student looking for my first foray in to employment. I'm a £60k professional looking to make a move in to a different role (though related to what I currently do).

As I understand you write the CV yourself and they tart it up. Often these folks have industry expertise to word and lay things out in the most sellable way. This is admittedly a skill I am a bit lacking in. A simple list of skills and accomplishments is good enough when applying for a job in footlocker but it needs a bit of spark for the jobs I am going for.

Lol,

I don't see the problem with it personally, but I will rather write my own.

Not everyone is good at selling themselves. They may have the suitable qualities for a role but lack the ability to articulate it on paper.

Plus, it's a very competitive market out there. If you think you need assistance in putting yourself in a better light go for it.

Personally, I'll rather be the author of things

I'm a bit on the fence regarding thing one. While it is indeed true nobody knows your experiences like you do, someone indeed may be more capable of promoting your experiences in a more relevant way.

For example I had my CV updated by a recruiter and he absolutely smacked it and gave me ideas I had never thought about before that definitely improves my CV. See he has an insight to the inner mind of recruiters and direct feedback on what they're looking for so I guess a CV writer would have the same. Recruiters often look at 100s of cvs a week so anything that makes yours stand out or is a positive.

Turns out I'm off the fence now, CV writers FTW

fam... are you retarded? its a cv. how can you possibly compare it to that?

it's literally a list of your skills and accomplishments, not an inauguration speech. if you need someone to write that for you then boy...

Bro you are coming across mad ignorant, a cv is alot more than just listing your skills and accomplishments.
