Eric is a great player but there is no way he should be mentioned ahead of matt le tissier for scoring those type of goals where you control the ball in the air take a guy on then bang it in the net and this is why I said he is over rated because over the years United fans start giving him attributes he does not really have in the locker it was Matt who was scoring those stunning goals on a regular basis.

 

Cantana was capable of some spectacular volleys the cup final vs Pool springs to mind but that goal was nothing like what Della Alli scored. But you can not sit there and claim he was scoring goals similar to Della Alli when he was not.  For me Bergkamp & Zola were like magicians on the field of play doing stuff which was nothing short of brilliance.

 

Eric he had moments of brilliance (we probably have seen that same lob repeated 5000 times on sky) but for me he was never seeing them two. I feel as if he is made out to be better than he was. I would definitely NOT have him in a world 11 for the era 1988-96
