What Happened, Nina Simone?  - Documentary

 

 

in the midst of all the casting controversy for the film with Zoe Saldana playing Nina Simone - I thought I'd check this out, didn't read any reviews or anything, to be honest I was expecting to sit through 10mins and lock off,

 

Boy was i wrong,  it's fantastic. It does a great job at telling the story of Nina Simone, her beginnings,the civil rights movements,migration to africa/europe, mental health decline -  the archival footage are so good. 

 

Highly recommend this,

Love the humour in this. Never really seen Aziz Ansari in a show apart from his cameos in Scrubs .

Bout to finish the season , worth a watch.

season 2 of daredevil was ok, the fight scenes with them ninjas got very repetitive though
