Peter Fury says details of Tyson Fury's long-awaited rematch with Wladimir Klitschko will be announced by the weekend.

The 27-year-old Fury (25-0-KO18) defied the doubters in November when he outpointed the long-reigning Ukrainian (64-4-KO53) in Dusseldorf to clinch the WBA Super, WBO and IBF heavyweight crowns.

Klitschko was quick to exercise his contractual right to a rematch and, although negotiations have been lengthy, there seems to finally be light at the end of the tunnel - with Team Fury seeming to hint their man could enjoy home advantage.

Tyson Fury's rematch against Wladimir Klitschko will take place in Manchester on 9 July, according to the British fighter's trainer and uncle.

Peter Fury tweeted the news on Friday, adding a further announcement is expected at 12:00 BST.

Manchester-born Fury, 27, defeated 40-year-old Ukrainian Klitschko on points in Dusseldorf last November to secure the WBA, IBF and WBO titles.

Victory meant he became Britain's fifth bona fide heavyweight world champion.

Fury was stripped of his IBF belt two weeks after winning it as his rematch with Klitschko meant he would not fight the body's mandatory challenger, Vyacheslav Glazkov.

That title is at stake on Saturday, when British Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua fights defending champion Charles Martin at the O2 Arena in London.

Fury's fight with Klitschko will take place on the same weekend as the Wimbledon singles finals, the British Grand Prix and the Euro 2016 final.

Hmmmm.

It's not an anticipated rematch in all honesty, so it no surprise tickets are slow.  It would have sold out if it was at the o2 arena.

I saw a deal on group on £219 ticket  travel + hotel. Not bad for a weekend in manny

Pricing is a bit of a joke tbh, only tickets under 100 have sold out. Middle tier start at like 120

I was wondering how often do they have to call out the number of the ticket office during a press conference to sell tickets & claim 'tickets are flying out so get 'em fast'.

Seemed like a lie to me.

It's the lack of box office.

they are trying to get box office money still so the only way to do that is high ticket prices

makes Joshua's prices seem reasonable
