Would imagine that the NHS is disproportionately funded by people from South East England. If everyone was too opt out surely it would have a massive effect on those in extreme poverty in the North?

But everyone wouldn’t opt out, unless we're dealing in unrealistic scenarios?

 

Fewer people using the NHS would be a better NHS. Tax private healthcare institutions and use parts of that money to subsidise the NHS ones.
