Most of these rappers are as formulaic as these Hit pop producers, there is very little creativity displayed when it comes to making conscious music which is why it doesn't resonate with the younger audience.

David Ruffin and many other Motown acts had chequered past's but their artform wasn't defined by the inner city environment they came from and the lasting legacy of Motown is one of love and black excellence.
