  1. I'm not black and I'm not trying to come across as an uncle tom. I am me.I was just making a point that to gain acceptance in the ends you need to buy into some bullshit aspects of black and youth culture. Trying to mc being one if you got about as much talent a Mr Wong, or if you are hanging on the streets spiting with your mans instead of making a concerted effort to actual produce music. There are those that are f*ck*ng sh*t but continue to mc for p*ssy and ratings and it is unnecessary. Some of these guys do other bullshit for acceptance that are synonymous with Black culture and the Black community but have left behind the other aspects. I have African friends and there is a strong culture of education and learning generally speaking in this culture yet loads of Black kids of African origin don't give a f*ck about that, they fall in line with with the youth culture for acceptance.Like it or loathe it other races have followed suit. White folk act in the same manner and so do asians buying into aspects of alien cultures that bring no benefit to their own lives just for a sense of acceptance. So f*ck*ng what if youths try to mc.If they're sh*t, make no effort to be good, don't take it seriously, do it just to hang on the street corner with mans late at night and gain acceptance.... That there is something wrong with that.[switches from Uncle Top] "Jam your hype and sit down"Are you really infected with this much stupidity? You think that mcing for fun is detrimental to a persons health or wellbeing? If they're going to be hanging on a street corner late at night they're going to be doing that regardless of the mcing part. I just think you tried to mc when you were a kid and got murked and now you're filled with resentment regarding mcs.Mate if you had the intelligence to not focus on mcing then you would realise that what I was inferring is that there are certain requirements for acceptance in the ends. The things include acting a certain way, talking a certain way, doing certain thing etc... My point was in the ends there are certain things that have been bought into for acceptance and this includes other races. Other races have begged Black music, Black slang, even Black (West Indian) accents all in the name of assimilating into the environment.I'm not saying Black culture is sh*t. Not at all. I'm just saying people buy into elements of it just for show. Kids born and bread in England are talking with Jamaican accents, African kids whose parents damn sure don't speak that way are also doing the same, White kids do it, Asians do it.Elements of African Black culture (such as learning culture) have been forgone by African diaspora in pursuit of assimilating into the more generally accepted and cooler West Indian Black culture. (From I know African guys claiming they were of Jamaican origin).Urban culture and Black culture in many respects in London (as well as other places) have become synonymous with one another. This doesn't mean I believe they are the same but to an outsider like David Starky this can appear to be the case. More so than with any other culture Black culture has infiltrated the ends be it with music, fashion, language etc,,, and to those on the outside can be perceived as "Acting Black". Like it or loathe it, David Starky just said what every White middle class individual thinks and this association of Urban culture with Black culture is somewhat true and the Black community generally speaking haven't done anything to dispel this perception, quite to the contrary they have taken ownership of many aspects of it.Also in regard to Mcing. It is an element of Black culture but more than that it is an form of expression and has become watered down by those who express nothing and who do it for the sake of spuds. If you have no real love for it, your swag and just MC for image alone then there is something wrong in that.Take this for example: Case closed. That is something all children face. It's called peer pressure. If it wasn't black culture/black slang and whatever else you're blaming; it would be something else. But the fact is it is elements of Black culture not something else. Therefore you can't get angry at some 60+ middle class white man thinking everyone is acting Black in urban areas because to a degree it is true.Disclaimer: I'm not saying looting or whatever other f*ckry went on this past week is Black culture. The riots were down to something far more basic... Want and individual choices to satisfy that want via criminal deeds.

  5. Starky's comments were moderately racist however the points he made were valid in SOME respects.Among the black youth and other races only the worst aspects of black culture are at the forefront. I.e. trying to be mc, plenty of young black men from the ends have touched mic, akai or logic in the pursuit of musical success, fame and fortune. It brings status to be an"mc" or rapper, yet the aspects of African culture in seeking knowledge and education have fallen behind. You are deemed to be a neek if you bury your head in a book.Jamaican / West Indian slang is being "begged" every which way. It has become cool to speak in this manner and it has nothing to do with regional accents or whatever. It is being spoken by people that are perfectly capable of speaking the English language in the manner in which it should be but if you are a well spoken black man you are a "bounty" in many peoples view. The same applies if you are a well spoken member of another race in the "ends", you are a "bounty" or a "coconut". I have received comments in line with being a bounty or coconut because I choose not to speak slang and am very well spoken.... and I am not even black.I am a bounty according to some friends because although I like rap and some grime, it isn't my favourite genre of music. When friends look at my ipod and see Al Green, Otis Redding, percy sledge etc... They think it is bounty music... Yet these are black vocalists and the originators of modern day R&B.There is plenty of stupidity floating around in the ends and unfortunately for some failure to conform to these aspects of ends culture means being ostracised.
  6. It was a black led phenomenon initially because a black man who was respected in a black community was killed, however the rioting that ensued was not a black led phenomenon, it was a lower class led phenomenon, people of all races took part in numbers. Why was he respected thoThat's the real question iMOI was thinking the same thing.
  7. Goddaz and your bullshit. You act like every black person imprisoned or shot was just a hapless victim. This is is too far and this is not even about that. This is about the high rate of youth unemployment and just like the paris riots, this is the youths form of protest.
  8. we (youth workers) are suppose to be engaging these young people and giving them a new lease of life. How much of your work is done with youths on the cusp of going in the wrong path and how is it with normal law abiding kids we failedIt's far deeper than this. We are now in a country where the odds of making a normal middle class life for yourself are so heavily stacked against you when you come from a poor/working class background. Then on top of that police treat you like sh*t and the gov't are closing off more and more things that were designed to help you beat these near impossible odds. Futures f*cked for the youngers, it will take strong focussed individuals with excellent support systems to make anything of themselves. This is beyond gas. Do you really think these riots are out of hopelessness when the cunts are laughing as they set fire to businesses and homes. There are those who have had truly f*cked existences and have risen beyond their circumstances to make successes of themselves. Poverty is not an excuse for this sh*t. To rise up beyond circumstance takes internal fortitude and determination but the fact is being a gyalis/roadman in the mind of many takes president over long term development. Yes, these youths are f*cked because of a lack of guidance but when does one decide "I will attend class and try my hardest so one day I won't be at the bottom of the barrel."Largely they don't. They are content blaming circumstance alone for their failings be it poverty or a lack of parental guidance or whatever and don't get me wrong these are legitimate factors. Yet many will blame these circumstances alone and act as though they could do nothing to bring themselves out the gutter. These cunts who are committing this f*ckry are the worst of the worst. The same guys that will blame society and not themselves for their failings, they guys acting out of greed and evil.
  9. Can hear sirens popping off near my yard. Is North west under siege? Well, more so than normal?
  10. racist much? Not racist. Truth. Has nothing to do with black or white. Look what these hooligans are doing and ask yourself truthfully whether these mans seem educated/literate to you.
  11. Take notice of what? You have all the opportunities in the world in this country. Access to healthcare, education, social security etc... The system isn't perfect but social mobility is more than possible here. Times are tough but don't scapegoat the situation. The guys doing this are scum, they are losers who know nothing of hard graft, just like to take and take the easy road.Young people and opportunities f*ck these guys smashing things up before this our government and local councils were quite happy to slash youth services as they were 'not needed' what about the young people who are not involved. But live in the area what is going to be done for them?Opportunities are all well and nice but if you remove ways to actually access them what happens then? Look at what is gone from our neighborhoods where is the conexxions service to help young people get into work, where are the youth clubs that keep young people out of the grips of gangs and trouble-making.All cut or in the process of being cut.Watch now as millions of pounds is suddenly found to save services.I get your point. But there is no justification. They're Animals, they're evil.
  12. I will say this though. I haven't watched the news as intently as this since 9/11. That says something.

  14. When all is said and done these people are scum. No wonder John and Dave want the "immigrants" out the country. Why supply fuel to the national front fire. I'm not even joking, if this carries on V for Vendetta type tyranny will strike Britain. All that is happening now is justifying that the cause that the "ethnics ought to go back home."Scum and losers are on this hype and causing this destruction. Their f*ck*ng up lives here, burning homes, destroying livelihoods. This isn't even funny, it's just wrong.
  15. Blud, just like the looters are opportunists you have pyrotechnic fiends.Them man licking their lips for a arson opportunity like this. It's pyromaniacs for future reference.
