  1. Made a killing with the 2share/ 3 share and other tomb farm forks on FTM.
  2. I remember there was a telegram group for the ICO days, is it still about? Hella good IDOs past and present atm. All the Defi, synthetics, aggregators and insurance protocol projects are mad interesting this time round, I've been nerding out on the scene since last year
  3. even though I want it, PR is not even top 10 priority for most voters, donot even think they are in the state to compaign for it atm

Lol. Nah he is moist.. Acts passive aggressive like some oestrogen filled woman and starts off the interview saying he thinks he is an idiot because they have the comfort of security for this interview. Then walks off. The other guy composed himself wickedly & kept the show going.
  5. Bagged this & it caused some workplace envy too 😂. Recruiters & contractors I work with are saying I can start contracting with 1.5(if I am a chancer) to 2 years+ Portfolio + can answer senior front-end & JS interview questions. Is this true? feels bare close, literally one more year for me. One of my friends start doing that after 2 years exp. too I'm thinking rah, hella bands.. Hows it going for you guys?
  6. This is cold. Realer than most 1 vibes
  7. Hackney is the calmest it’s ever been for a years now tbh
  8. I think 2020 street artists will start getting confidence in themselves and start their own channels up as soon as possible. The linkup/grm circuit is useful but it defo aint the end all be all, some artists are racking up 100k-mill plays on spotify with no video on them platforms. That russ/sl thing is sad but if you are dumb, you are gonna be sharkfood in the music biz. Right now a lot of rappers are signed and I know the twang is telling them its a 6 figure deal and giving them a couple bags advance.
  9. Even me too tbh. Once a week. My barber charges 12. I just give him 15. Maybe I buy food or snacks too. Since I take out a scores at the atm, I just consider the whole ordeal 20 quid. If I could do away with Travel&Time costs & for him to come to me instead, I’d happily give him the 20 instead. The convienience of it is very appealing to me & for someone to come to you and trim you up, it’s deec imo. I still wish I lived near my barbers though lol
  10. Any of you guys used the trim it app? £10 off with this https://n8wr2.app.goo.gl/CUhp Black Mobile barber app with the barbershop in the van. Cost 22 a trim but the fact I can get a trim outside my work at lunch or outside my yard is very appealing. I absolutely hate wasting time so this works perfectly for me
  11. Big market for alternates to uni right now, esp if you can tie it in with apprenticeships and get the govt. funding too
  12. Keep at it g! Assessment for promotion at end of February so I'm just studying for that. Gonna try leave by 2020 so I can eat from this age of inflated developer wages.
  13. WFH (aint doing shit lol) gonna take my holidays as income in February.
  14. Hows the progress you man?

  16. Started reading about programming in early 2017 since I had a lot of time on my hands & wanted to do something legitimate. Messed around with C#, moved on to Javascript, just making stuff and practicing. Saw a tweet around Nov/Dec 2017 from a London Bootcamp doing free places for underrepresented people in tech, so I applied, had to pass a test and an interview and I got through. They were experimenting with race & class diversity and wanted to see if they can get the 15 people they selected to mid-level developers in a year+ time. We also got paid for up to 3 months for every month we didn't get employed afterward. I was a bit skeptical because I only had A-levels and no real work experience meanwhile the cohort was filled with people with a lot of corporate experience, some Oxbridge grads or mostly top 20 uni people. Breezed through the course (started in Feb this year), they taught me about all that agile malarkey, TDD, OOP, Functional Programming, all the soft skills etc. I think one of most important thing is building a good portfolio of work and learning about TDD and testing software. Most people who are learning at home are not teaching themselves Test-driven development so if you are self-taught it is important to learn this. A lot of companies are actually hiring juniors who know how to TDD, to help develop that culture in these places to learn all that, it's important and will give you a competitive edge. It's defo a big selling point. Getting regular feedback on your code is the MOST important thing. Code with people, look up at online programming communities on slack or real-life meetups, get friendly with some people who will help you out. You need that regular feedback to level up as quick as possible. That's how they do it at the boot-camps, you have your code, the way you work and communicate reviewed by your peers and coaches multiple times a day sometimes(informally, everybody is taught to be open to constructive criticism after you work with them) so you are used to someone picking up on something and then you can correct it. The more of these feedback loops you go through, the quicker you will get better. (Applies to other stuff too). So imagine how many times you go through this to get people to a work-ready level after 4+ months. If you are self-taught and can incorporate those things into how you are learning, it will make your pathway to getting hired much more quickly than if you didn't. That's the sauce they use. If somebody is trying to set out a junior or entry level learning path or not sure what they should learn moving forward (concept wise) I can write a quick list of things to have covered
  17. prednisolone has defo ruined this summer for me smh lol
  18. Just accepted my job offer & I start in September! Working with Javascript, React, Node, GraphQL etc. All up my alley. Also free to switch into other departments if I get bored, or want to switch to more back-end stuff. Been a mad journey & I'm so glad I stuck it through. There are some sick opportunities out there if you look for them.
  19. Funny cos when slim was on 1xtra he didn't sound nothing like them, he sounds like he is his own entity, but on tunes he starts channeling them mans energies Hopefully he clocks what he is subconciously doing and corrects it cos i think he is sick
  20. lol i cant wait to get in on all of that
  21. Sick, the Deloitte roles they had up for us last month were testing dev roles, not my thing though lol. Im hoping I can get somewhere I can use Node/React extensively as that$ the route what I wanna follow. Doing that at work will save me time. Same time I'm limited to applying to roles offered by the hiring partners but they have a decent selection so its likely I'l get to work in the area I wanted. Are you on day rates? Im hearing people on them 500 a day rates after 1.5-2 years experience in certain technologies
  22. Finished the course a few weeks ago, good stuff, if I had the sort of P laying around, I would pay for it lol. I breezed through the coding since I been doing it for a lil while but learning how to work in a team, pairs and learning all the software dev principles and TDD, CI etc. has been super useful, would have never learnt that on my own. Half my cohort got job offers already which is sick, they weren't gassing about how quick people snap up jobs afterwards( everyone apart from me and a few others have extensive corporate job history so maybe thats part of it) I've been sick the past month so missed out on this cycles job hires (which is minor since part of their promise is to pay me monthly until I get into work lol) but they start again the jobs hiring again next week. Got companies like Softwire, Deloitte, FT, Telegraph , Thoughtbout etc etc. hiring so hopefully I get my interview technique right & snap one up. Hows everything going for you guys?
