  1. sugababes-pic-pa-37920840.jpg
Tuesday here at Mirror.co.uk's Showbiz Towers and we're very overexcited to hear that our wild speculation about the original line-up of the magnificent Sugababes getting back together is becoming a reality.Yes, we are such massive fans we still treasure and play our promotional copies of the band's first singles Overload and Freak Like Me, which the then schoolgirls Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy released way back in 1998.We were rather sad when Siobhan then quit in 2001, and were definitely miserable when Mutya followed in 2005.But we were cataclysmically angry when founding member Keisha was shoved out by management earlier this year after Siobhan's replacement Heidi Range and then Mutya's substitute Amelle Berabbah said they could no longer work with her.Keisha was then replaced by Eurovision wannabe Jade Ewen, a stage-school singer as far away from the streetsmart teenage savvy stars of original line-up as it was possible to get.At the time, we posited that it would be a rather perfect moment for the original Babes to rise again - and now it seems that it really is going to happen.Just last week, we talked to Keisha about reforming the original line-up while we were on the red carpet at the premiere of the Michael Jackson movie This Is It.At the time, she didn't want to go on camera to confirm or deny it, but once the off-button had been activated, she turned, nodded and winked at us.How exciting! And now it's being reported that the three original schoolgirl friends have been having meetings at a major record label and they've been trying to decide which producer to work with. Scream! We just wonder what the original Sugababes V 1.0 are going to call themselves? Sugacane? Unrefined molasses? Sugabeet Pulp?It will have to be something about Suga in it's original state at any rate...But whatever happens, it'll be brilliant to see two factions of the same original band battling it out in the charts at the same time as they're still massively popular. After all, it's not exactly some faded old Sixties popstars bickering over who uses the original name when there's only one of them left and they've long since fallen out of the hit parade. And, talking of which, while we wait for the original sweethearts to get back in the studio, see who's battling it out in today's gossip charts in the goss round-up...
  2. The white people on this forum have the same attitude as the white people on that channel 4 show where that white woman wanted to show racism, they just couldn't comprehend that stuff like this doll is racist etc etc.
    i hear that completely
Aint read this topic, but from the title I can tell what it's about. Basically it boils down to this-:- If theres other races of this doll as a "monkey" then its clearly not a case of racism, just a silly product manager.- If its just a black doll = its bording on racism or just a very ignorant product manager.
even if they are white versions of the same doll, none of them imo would/does/show/imply any kind of racial connotations towards whites/hispanics etc except the black one.
Funny how theres 3 raced dolls all with the same animal and there is only one race making a meal out of it, Dont take a genius to work out who.
ur one pathetic lil fool fool boy like i said to streets even if they are white versions of the same doll, none of them imo would/does/show/imply any kind of racial connotations towards whites/hispanics etc except in the case of the black one. u r jus like that white school teacher in the channel 4 programme, no question about it
  3. monkeydoll.jpgTaking the p * ss, she's even got a banana!!!
All I can say is Wow. What a messI heard about this on 94.5 the other day and I was flabbergasted! Read below....Do you believe this? They have officially lost my business. Pass this to asmany people you can. We will not go backwards, but continue to pressforward. In this day and age, racism and ugly stereotypes continue to rear its ugly head. The recent Gates case, the Boston police officer calling Gates a "banana eating jungle monkey", and others are strong examples.Racism and negative stereotypical portrayals of African Americans Comes in many forms.John Taylor and his wife, Donna who live in North Carolina , recently went into COSTCO in Greensboro and could not believe what they saw perched on theshelf for sale. As the photos show, the baby doll is being hugged by amonkey and the doll has a cap on its head that says " lil ' monkey" !They have lodgedcomplaints with the COSTCOCorporate HQS and while their efforts succeeded in getting the dollpulled from the Greensboro store, the doll is still on sale in WinstonSalem and likely in other locations. These dolls are in insult to us all andneed to be pulled from all COSTCO stores or wherever they are being sold.COSTCO also owes their Customers an apology. I hope you are as outraged as Iam and if so, call COSTCO HQs and demand that this product be removed from their shelveswithout delay. It is the "Cuddle Baby" product #404860 and the corporateheadquarters number is 800-7742678.Please feel free to spread the word to your networks to contact COSTCO anddemand they stop selling this doll.
