  2. Previous Mercury Prize nominee, MOBO and BET Award winner Sway has teamed up with seminal rapper Kanoon his most recent offering ‘Still Sway & Kane’. His highly anticipated forthcoming album ‘The Deliverance’ is set to be released this year following the success of his previous singles ‘Still Speedin’ and ‘Level Up’, which charted in the top-20 and top-10 respectively. Reuniting two of the most respected wordsmiths in the UK after they joined forces on the ‘Still Speedin'’ remix, ‘Still Sway & Kane’ is co-produced by Sway alongside Giorgio Tuinfort (David Guetta, Akon) and Fuller Refix. The track also features and introduces Tigger Da Author, a singer-songwriter recently signed to Sway's Dcypha Productions label. Inspired by Sway’s favourite producer and rap legend, Dr Dre, ‘Still Sway & Kane’ samples the hip-hop classic ‘Still D.R.E’. 5. http://i49.tinypic.com/nq39li.jpg' alt='nq39li.jpg'>There are few that give real credence to the cliché ‘Good things come to those who wait’. For singer and songwriter Charlie Brown, it’s almost become his life motto, his raison d’tre. And while he’s had some incredible highs and some devastating lows, the wait, to coin another cliché, really has been worth it. ‘Dependency’, is creating a massive buzz amongst critics and music lovers alike are tipping Charlie Brown as the ‘Breakout Star’ for 2013. The track features street star Yungen and vocalist Ms D – known for her part on Wiley’s recent No.1, Heatwave. ‘Dependency’ was produced by Mushtaq and co-written with David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey, Hurts) with a mix by the mighty Sticky. Charlie Brown’s new single effortlessly treads the taut line between commercial appeal and underground credibility. ‘Dependency’ is a mixture of classic songwriting brought together by a modern-day twist. His incredible pop vocals coupled with his serious soul edge demonstrate exactly why AATW were keen to snap him up. From the sounds of blues to soul, and artists like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles, his musical palette was getting its early training. His father was a respected blues musician, who won Best Blues Recording at the Hamilton Music Awards for his last record, Carolina Blue, in 2007. In 2010, his father died of cancer, which was a tremendous loss to the blues community. His brother, an accomplished pianist, has played with Levon Helm, Tom Wilson and Colin James. For OB, music was a given, considering the rich music culture he was raised in, but in finding his own voice as a lyrical artist he carved out a place for himself in Hamilton’s music community. “To me, rap is today’s form of blues,” says OB. “I would say less melodic, but it shares some of the same themes as old blues, a lot of the same rhythms and chords.” He has collaborated with well-known Canadian producers Boi1da and T-Minus and is currently focusing his attention on content creation. Writing, producing and mixing his own music, he admits he’s a “bit of a control freak.” Key Facts The rapper/producer is currently travelling the world with producers Boi1da and T-Minus writing for some of today’s upcoming talents. He’s also working on his debut with the producers. Teamed up with director Figz! (Figvarti Films) on six music videos to be released this year, three of which are out. Jordan says of his decision to make the track " I really loved the original Drake track and wanted to do a version where I flip the ideology of the term Trust Issues. It's about a man that is in a relationship but being hounded by another woman. After a confrontation with his girl he gives in to temptation and meets the other woman who promises him a night he won't forget." Follow Jordan on Twitter @JordanKingUK
