Through the various phases of transition, dubstep has always been a fascinating and constantly mutating style that has reached to the main stages of the biggest festivals and back to the underground, but always looking forward. On this constantly evolving journey, we have reached the fourth edition of the Estonian Dubstep compilation, which offers 17 fresh tracks from Estonian artists like Bisweed, Thing, Gee, Slin, Keshob and many others.

    RWD Forum Throwback

Just wondering if there are any original RWD forum heads on here? Dan said there would be... I was the creator of the forum and website all those years ago... I'm doing some research and wanted to collect some information on old posts and topics, who remembers the time Wiley used to come on and say things like 'your nan is a lorry driver?" Basically... i'm wondering if anyone has any screenshots of that? Also can anyone remember what his username was on there? Any help massively appreciated... Also please feel free to share your funniest moments, my top 3 are: - When Ashman had sex with Kissy Toffee - The fued between the 2 'DJ rushes' who made an arrangement that whoever becomes more famous has to change their name - That scandal between a famous footballer and garage DJ having gay sex that almost got everyone sued.

  11. read this interview with Mark Radford and instantly thought of the conversation that took place at the start of the MOBO thread as well as others i've had in the past two years.. figured this would make for an interesting discussion as it's something we're all aware of so thought I'd put make a new topic and stick it in here rather than whatever this is just an extract but touches on all the pertinent points from genre woes and mainstream ibiza, to the urban scene and goons, shuffling and the deep house squirrel, fire london to ministry of sound and much more full interview http://blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/mark-radford-interview.html / realness / house is picking up where grime left as being this generations garage

  16. 4 Big Tunes U Wot Blud? Records Trapaveli Release: 17th June 2013 CAT: UWB005 1. Wizard - Babe 2. Wizard - F Off 3. Wizard - Hater 4. Wizard – Yellow Brick Road UWB005 comes straight at you from U WotBlud Records, courtesy of the mighty Wizard, and the Trapaveli EP. U Wot specialise in forward thinking, serious bass music, giving new artists a chance to break their music in the best possible circumstances. The label, which runs the range of 108-175bpm, has some big names on its books already. From DJ Melinki, to Demure and Kinsella to Lington, the U Wot family is vibrant, expressive and looking for fresh talent to push, and have a philosophy to be open minded and willing to explore any genre. Benga “yellow brick road is big. will rep on radio.” The Trapaveli EP comprises four brand new bits from the one and only Wizard. The pounding, full-in-the-face dirt of F Off resounds around your room and your brain, taking no prisoners. Shades of grime, hip hop, dubstep and trap collide in a brain-melting show of aural defiance. Necta Selecta “4 powerful grime tracks, Babe is by far my fave, will probably drop it at some point in the rave.” Hater once again unites the club and the street, blending urban sensibilities with upfront dance music vibes. The range of this one is quite colossal, with the beats and the bass leaping tall buildings in single bounds. Hater is the stuff of nightmares, ready to haunt your every move. Yellow Brick tends towards the dubstep end slightly more, using cut up, layered beats under some amazing sample work, using a simple, steppy motion. Wizard doesn’t mess around when it comes to delivering the pain. Hard hitting, direct, highly energising and addictive. Kinzy “Such a good release, will definitely play these out! 10/10! Keep me updated ” Final track is the hectic, dirty Babe, on which Wizard trades humming bass with some cheeky vocal snatches. Somewhat of a respite to the rest of the EP, this one’ll still go down well in the clubs, and the crowds’ll be all over it. Wizard’s Trapaveli EP gives you four huge trap bangers, the finest you’ll hear all year. Get to know Wizard, and get to know U WotBlud. DJ SUPPORT includes: Benga, Eddie K, JFB, Moggz, Tomb Crew plus more

    GRIME

went back to my Mum's recently and raided my old room for all the Grime tapes i could find have spent the last few days listening to nothing but the oldest Grime i can get my hands on - Roll Deep spittin over devil mixes, Deja Vu days etc., proper 2002 sh*t find it so hard to believe that that was 10 years ago now i remember having so many thoughts about how Grime could really blow back then, be our Hip Hop etc. every year i was waiting for it to happen, waiting for it to blow and for people to actually get it, but it never happened, by 2008 and Giggs was droppin i was like it's done last night i found myself watching Conflict on youtube. seeing Dizzee, Crazy Titch and Tinchy all in the same room, thinking about how one went worldwide, one's doin life and the other now makes what is basically the worst type of pop music going who thinks Dizzee's success was detrimental to the failure of Grime as a genre and a culture? i remember someone on here saying once Dizzee went everyone was waiting on All In One (of all people) to go next made me think, in an ideal world so many of these guys could have blown. instead we're left with these Scratchy D / Tempa T type cartoon characters like the whole thing was a joke what do you lot think about Grime in 2012? play this tune loud and have a think about it feel free to turn this into a Grime appreciation thread but come with some opinions and tales of reminiscence plz bosses
