  1. To be fair right now most strikers would be an upgrade on Rooney, Rvp and Falcao right now, but quality wise there is a huge shortage, especially when you look at availability. I 100% don't want Cavani. Dybala looks good but it is a big jump from scoring vs dead Serie A teams to the EPL and CL. Would probably enquire for Lewandowski and Muller, see if either had a price. Other than them I'm stuck right now. It was painful watching Rooney struggle link up with Di Maria today and seeing him fail to hold his run. Suggestions?
  2. no porchy as this has nothing to do woth team performance next season. United need to miss out on that CL money to stop Woodward blowing it all on players which are not needed and overlooking players that are. United must not be able to bring in marketable names as seen with last summers transfer window in which welbeck was sold to accommodate falcao which in my educated opinion had nothing to do with LVG and more to do with with making money via shirt sales as falcaos lack of minutes proves espcially as the coach would rather play fellaini or wilson instead of him. Whilst other major clhbs around europe are indentifying players that will improve the current side, united are enquiring over the availability of players who will boost marketing revenue in lucrative markets such as the americas and asia. Where the coach has his faults you can see he is fighting a battle with the guys above him and being stubborn in handing minutes to certain players and this will continue as long as the current business plan is in place. Originaly i wrote a whole lot more but i got a phonecall and chrome reset But yeah simply woodward doesnt care about winning trophies etc... Hes a money man and united are a money machine Business over football should be the motto
  3. Head to head Two clubs in shaky form Two shaky defenses Two former strikers looking to make an impact Two marquee LL signings under the spotlight Two OG managers Two teenagers v Sanchez? One point between us An interesting game that I can't predict. We should have De Gea Rafael McNair Jones Shaw Blind Herrera Carrick Fellaini Di Maria Januzaj Rooney RVP Falcao I feel no way to drop Mata despite his goal at the weekend (I missed the match so my most immediate impression is from him going missing v Chelsea & West Brom). We can't afford for wack Mata to turn up. RVP starts ahead of Falcao given the injury and it being arsenal. Fellaini x Blind in the middle will hopefully nullify Ramsey x Cazorla and force Arsenal to play wide. CB pairing was the most difficult but it is what it is. Prediction - 3-2 Arsenal, United to give away a two goal lead.
  4. Fellaini<<<<< Footballing ability sickens me Get really nervous when I see him near the football
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlQQmpZrvHw
  6. Just confirms what most of us thought already
  7. I am pretty surprised it is almost March and nobody has come out with or leaked anything really negative yet
  8. Are there any players you feel who should be tried in different positions or players who are being played in different positions which aren't working? We have had so far: - Young wingback - Valencia RB/WB - Fellaini ST - Rooney CM/RM - Di Maria ST - Blind CB/LB/LWB/CM - Carrick CB - Janajuz ST/10/LM/LWB I know he is trying to get to know the team but that is taking the piss tbh
  9. Ravel Morrison starts for Cardiff.....
  10. Did anyone ever have one of these? Ive been looking for an image for years It was a ball that was attached to some glasses that you could do kick ups on mustve been like 94 - 95 times
  11. Can you imagine Wouldve saved us years of grief and shit keeper heartache
  12. Whats this madness I'm seeing about this? Valdez has been training with us for about a month now , he got his debut for barca under Van Gaal , Real madrid want De Gea its a set up still , De Gea cannot be allowed to leave! Should easily be top 3 highest paid at the club.
  13. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/oct/21/alex-ferguson-david-moyes-manchester-united Sir Alex Ferguson has hit back at suggestions that he is partly to blame for Manchester United’s decline, insisting it is absurd to think he left behind an ageing team and an “antiquated” club and distancing himself from the common belief that he was solely responsible for the appointment of David Moyes. Ferguson described as “nonsense” the suggestion that Moyes had inherited a team in decline and says the problem for the former Everton manager was that he had found it “a massive jump” to move to Old Trafford. “He hadn’t realised just how big United is as a club,” Ferguson writes. The former United manager offers his first detailed account of the Moyes era in his updated book My Autobiography – officially released on Thursday – and identifies how his successor went against United traditions by adopting a slower playing style that, in his day, would not have been tolerated. “The reason for playing at speed was that United players had been accustomed to operating that way,” he writes. “If the tempo slowed for any reason, I would be into them at half-time. ‘This is not us,’ I would say. Playing with speed never hindered our results. It was our way: energy and determination in the last third of the pitch.” Ferguson reveals that he was completely left out of the loop when the decision was made to sack Moyes and, equally, makes it look the same when the club appointed the “formidable” Louis van Gaal. Ferguson’s influence at Old Trafford has clearly waned since the Moyes appointment but, notably, there is no admission on his part that he chose the wrong man, insisting that the club followed a rigorous and methodical selection process. “There appears to be an accepted view out there that there was no process. Nonsense. We feel we did everything the right way: quietly, thoroughly, professionally.” Ferguson points out how he tried to talk Moyes into retaining Mike Phelan as assistant manager but the new man chose not to listen and brought in his own backroom staff. “Maybe David felt that at such a massive club he had to be sure that all corners were covered in terms of his support system. I felt that network was already there, with plenty of great people already in important slots.” Ferguson continues: “As the results deteriorated, each defeat was a hammer blow to him. I could see that in his demeanour. In January we bought Juan Mata and that gave everyone a lift but I could see the walls squeezing in, leaving David with less and less room to breathe. I know that feeling from 1989, when we went through a terrible spell. You feel you are being crushed. The results gnawed away at David. Nobody could dispute how disappointing the season was. And it cost a man his job.” It led to a meeting between the two men – “just David and me; private” – after United had lost 3-0 at home to Manchester City. Ferguson then recalls how Liverpool “might have battered us” when they won by the same score at Old Trafford. “It’s hard to watch that kind of outcome when Liverpool are the ones dishing out the pain. It was a rough season for a United fan and it was tough for me because I knew there were plenty of good players in our squad. They weren’t showing their form – and that seemed to place a huge weight on David’s shoulders.” Ferguson insists he kept a “respectful” distance but admits he spoke to Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra about their futures. He states, however, that he never entered the dressing room and considered Carrington, United’s training ground, “out of bounds.” Of the team he left behind, he points out that 11 of the side that won the championship by 11 points were 25 years old or under. “Chelsea started the current season as favourites for the title, with a squad that also had six players in their 30s. I don’t hear any grumbles about the age of their group.” He attacked the suggestion he had left behind an antiquated system. “Antiquated was a bizarre description of the structure I left behind at Manchester United. Have you seen our new training ground?”

    tickets?

work might be sending me upto manchester this weekend. might be able to catch the games...where's good to get tickets for the derby? dont matter what side I sit in
  15. How would people set up and line up against Chelsea. Issues to contend with, Chelsea's "injury problems" in the forward positions, The effectiveness of Matic The form of Cesc Ivanovic's effectiveness when breaking forward. Rvp's form or lack of, No Rooney, Falcao possibly being unavailable, Defence being a little shaky, The notion that a partnership of RVP and Mata lacks a bit of pace. Mata vs Matic might Also be Miss match. A lack of solid with in the diamond might give the Chelsea fullback more liscence to get forward, putting even more pressure on a wobbly defence. I'd go De Gea Rafael Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Herrera Blind Fellani, the job of putting pressure on Matic, in a similar way Park did on Pirlo a few years back. Something in my head was leading me to say put Jones in there but hopefully those days are gone. I'd play Di Maria and Young wide slightly advanced, Di Maria has the workrate and abilty to occupy the opposing fullback and offer support to ours, this will also give us more bite on the counter. If Young's workrate and application is the same as early season and pre-season he could give Chelsea and issue too. Valencia could be in for Young if he's not for enough to start, Falcao if fit up from on his own. Mata, Junuzaj, RVP, Carrick Valencia Smalling and a keeper. isn't a bench devoid of options either. In possession I'd like Fellani to get forward to give Falcao support and create a different issue for them, but not sure about his ability or mobility to do both jobs. A good defensive performance today could spark the season off. A early goal then another later on on the break. Can't see Chelsea not scoring so at least two goals are needed. Wouldn't mind seeing the pace of Wilson added at some point too. Thoughts and opinions,
  16. Just been spending the last hour or so on Youtube reminiscing I cant see us ever having a striker partnership like this again Almost seemed telepathic at times Wish they had more time together Two strikers willing to pass to each other, support each other and let the other one get on the score sheet
  17. Surely we are out the dinosaur ages of 4-4-2 against top teams, at least these early few weeks have given him time to see RVP/Falcao/Rooney all up front If we go 4-4-2 against Chelsea we will get destroyed Really hope he drops this soon and goes back to his 4-3-3 Hopefully with Fellaini and Carrick both fit now, Blinds promising start and Fletcher in reserve against the big teams he will put Di Maria further forward and have more trust in our midfield to keep possession, break up play and contain when needed. I would go something similar to this ------------Carrick----------Blind---------------- ------------------Herrera/Fellaini---------------- ------------------------------------------------------- -Valencia/Adnan-------------------DM7/Adnan -------------------------Falcao---------------------- Strong middle, quick on the break, enough to support defence but not isolate attack
