  4. Sun, Sea and Soundsystems Fort Punta Christo, Pula, Croatia 2-5th September 2010 Europe’s Largest Dubstep & Soundsystem Culture Festival Returns To Croatia Outlook, the largest dubstep and soundsystem culture festival in Europe, returns to Croatia this Summer bringing with them the biggest names from the most vibrant and cutting edge dance scenes around today. With an all-star lineup from the worlds of Dub and Dubstep, Reggae, Dancehall, Drum and Bass, Hiphop, Roots Soul and Future Beats, Outlook brings together likes of Roots Manuva, The Bug, Digital Mystikz, Benji B, Macka B, Congo Natty and Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs in one huge celebration of heavy weight bass music. Launched in 2008 to sold out critical acclaim in the rustic fishing village of Petrcane, Outlook has continued to grow and evolve. In 2009 the festival moved to a beach-front Superclub in Novalja on the Island of Pag and this year the promoters have secured quite possibly the most amazing festival location ever imagined. An abandoned fort built in the eighteen hundreds, Punta Christo looks like a discovery from a lost world. Located just across the bay from the town of Pula, Punta Christo is the perfect destination for sun soaked daytime beach parties, boat parties and when the sun sets all night raving at one of the fort’s four stages. One of the most eagerly excited festivals of the Summer, Outlook transports the most exciting music scenes from urban Britain to a beachside paradise, ensuring one of the most amazing festival experiences of 2010. Said Simon Scott, Outlook Festival, “Having sold out just through word of mouth the past two years, we needed to find a new home that could accommodate all the people who we know wanted to experience Outlook this year. When we found Punta Christo we knew we’d found the perfect venue for Outlook, somewhere as special as the festival itself. Said Noah Ball, Outlook Festival, “Looking at what we’ve put together this year it’s like a dream come true. We’ve got an amazing location, the best crowd you could ask for and the a lineup that represents the most exciting music coming out of the UK at the moment, what more could you ask for?” - end - Full Listing Details 2-5th September 2010 The Outlook Festival 2010 Fort Punta Christo, Pula, Croatia Outlook, the largest dubstep and soundsystem culture festival in Europe, returns to Croatia this Summer bringing with them the biggest names from the most vibrant and cutting edge dance scenes around today. In an effort to try & run this festival whilst causing as little damage to our lovely planet as possible we would like you to consider all possible options for travel before making your choice. BY BUS The most Eco-friendly way that we are suggesting to travel is by The Sunshine Bus, a number of coaches we are providing from the UK to the festival site. Take the bus! it will give you the chance to experience a drive through Europe and a chance to get to know a bus full of likeminded people also on their way to party, you’ll feel like a family by the time you get there. This year we will be providing a number of buses from northern & southern England. Below are the departure dates for the sunshine bus to Outlook. The finer details will be organised nearer to the time with exact times & locations of pick-up points in Manchester & London etc, as well as the exact route and arrival times. Tickets are now onsale from here: Price – £130 + Booking Fee Departure date from the uk Tuesday 1st September pick-ups in Manchester (Approx 6pm) & London (Approx 11pm) arrive in Pula Wednesday 2nd (Sometime PM) Departure date from Petrcane Tuesday 7th September return to London & Manchester arrive Wednesday evening. BY CAR Whilst we would urge any festival goers to travel by bus, last year there were a number of people who decided to make their summer holiday a European road trip that included Outlook Festival in their travels, either as the main destination or as one stop on a circuit around Europe. There are a number of different routes you can take across Europe to make your journey interesting – get on google and look at the options… Amsterdam, Munich, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Venice and a number of other cities all can easily be made part of your route there. Car Hire in Croatia Budget Car Rental www.budget.com or Uni Rent www.uni-rent.net BY TRAIN You can travel by Eurostar to Northern Italy and then take a train through Slovenia into Croatia, although we advise that buses in Croatia are much quicker than the trains. See the sites below for more details. www.seat61.com/Slovenia.htm or www.adria.si BY AIR If you are travelling by air then please try and pay the small carbon offset fee that is provided as an option with most European flights nowadays. The nearest airport to the site, just outside the City of Pula is: Pula (20 mins), followed by Rijeka (80 mins), Ljubljana (90mins), Trieste (2hr 20min), Venice (3hr) and Zagreb (3.5hr). These times are for travelling by car along the highway. AIRPORT TRANSFERS We will be organising Airport transfer coaches to Pula for customers from each of the airports above at key times to fit with flights. With a slew of releases on labels such as Maximum Bass, It’s Funky and his own Kicks and Snares there's no doubt that Roska's skippy, bass-heavy tunes have been dominating this year. Watch out for his remixes of Zed Bias, Untold and Greena which are sure to bun down dancefloors across the UK.From Leeds we have Ben UFO, repping Hessle Audio, the most exciting label in dubstep at the moment. Ben has helped shape the deeper axis of the scene by championing artists such as TRG, Untold and Ramadanman and his tight and diverse sets have helped him to establish himself as a well respected DJ alongside the likes of Oneman and Brackles.Smutlee is well and truly on his game at the moment with his mashups of UK funky and bashment receiving untold love from magazines such as Fact, Plan B and Vice. 24. HYPE TV CHART SUMMARY Despite the announcement of retirement Mr. Vegas is still holding firm to the #1 spot with Daggering. It's now a week since the sad news broke to us and dancehall music and fans worldwide are mourning the loss of a true artiste from their company. No more Vegas?Morgan Heritage will be in a grinning mood this week as Nothing To Smile About has gained the Shot To Watch title for this week. It now sits in the #2 spot leaving from #5 and becoming a threat to the retiree. The retirement seems to have no effect on Vegas when it comes to the chart. His hot single Nuh Fight Over Man hold steadily in the #3 position for another week. Will he return? That's the question on everyone lips. The young champ of the dancehall Konshens with his inspirational hit Winner continues to grip the #4 spot taking hold for a second week in a row. The fresh sounding act is making quite an impact on the dancehall scene with his impressive creative styles.Elephant Man the Energy God loss a bit of power this week as his contagious hit Nuh Linga fell at #5. The single spent three weeks at number one thus closing off the top five for this week. It's Ele, no need to worry he is a very hard worker and for that he will be coming back with another smash hit. It's the Fyah Mumma Queen Ifrica with Keep It To Yourself that is embracing the Greatest Gainer title this week on the chart. The hot track has jumped three places up to #16 leaving from its #19 position. The Fyah Mumma is definitely one female artiste that will tell like it is, in a nice Roots Reggae way.
