fix .net?

does anyone know how to fix .net?i uninstalled it by accident, i tried to restore it to before the date i took it off, but now it doesnt work properly, and some programes dont work properly, paint.net for instance.Ive tried downloading bits from microsoft but its not having it.Anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix it?

Make sure its the right version aswell.As some appz still use the 1.1 I think. Not the 2. something...Also make sure you install the service pack if its the 1.1
