Tottenham boss Martin Jol expects club captain Ledley King to be on the sidelines for another two months as he gives the lowdown on the club's lengthy injury list. The Dutchman also confirmed that wing wizzard Aaron Lennon will miss the start of the season, but insisted that summer signing from Southampton, Gareth Bale, was on the verge of recovering from his injury lay-off."Ledley had his knee operation after playing for England at the end of the season and is doing well with his rehabilitation and the specialists are very happy with him," Jol told Tottenham's official website. "He will still be out for probably another two months but, as with all injuries, it does not serve any real purpose to put a strict timeframe and he has not suffered a setback. We always anticipated Ledley being out for this period of time. We added to the squad with Younes Kaboul and he will provide even greater competition to our defensive ranks.

lol @ donkey dawson, refuses to rise to that laughable bait.He will be back. This is not career threatening unlike what many believe. He will still play 30+ league games this season. And Dawson & Kaboul will be solid enough while he's out.And Matt -Chimbonda---Kaboul---Dawson---Bale>>>>>Neil---Davenport----Ferdinand---Spector

Forgive me if i'm wrong but i dont hear many Spurs fans blaming Kings absence last season as the reason they didn't break into the top 4 if they could've had their first choice back four for the majority of games last season i reckon last year they could've pipped either liverpool or Arsenal top break into the top 4 even the media have underestimated the absence of King to be honest i think Spurs should try to sign a top class centre back to cover for King when he's out coz they cant afford to play dawson Davenport or rocha to many times this season if they wanna achieve on another note i hope he recovers fully eventually
