The Black Entertainment Television channel soon to launch in the UK will look to focus on tailoring its output to its audience rather than rely on US content.Speaking to Broadcast, BET senior vice-president of international and UK general manager Michael Armstrong said there would be a "strong emphasis on commissioning in the UK," in order to target the UK audience.Armstrong also said that British presenter Leah Charles would be hosting a UK-presentation of the popular annual BET Awards.An online TV channel betonblast.co.uk is to launch at the end of August with clips from the forthcoming UK channel.
