HDMI sends digital signals...Whereas component doesnt....Resulting in HDMI being better. Slightly.

it wont make any difference if the host devices arent HDMI 1.3 aswelland none of those are being made (that im aware of) and if they are theyre the ones costing tens of thousands of pounds normal HD TV, any HDMI will doeven component will produce noticable quality differences
