What is your opinion on the EU?Do you think we would benefit from joining the EU?Seeing as we are now such a multi cutural country do you think it would benefit the citizens who come and reside here from different backgrounds and allow us to get on better? or should we think of ourselves first and stay patriotic and be labeled racists?What do you think of the EU?If we got a referendum do you think the majority public would vote for the EU?

I have mixed opinions.I mean I am a very patriotic person as you know however this country is becoming more multicultural by the day and I notice that the more people are patriotic the more newcomers feel awkward and people can be seen as ignorant/racist.It's like you cannot be English and proud anymore.Many English are just pissing off to Spain anyway..I think a lot of people have given up with this country to be honest, It has become too politically correct.Maybe joining the EU completley could make better of this country.. it is a risk though.Our economy could fall and we will become one of your average joes as you put it.

I think its hard to be english and proud nowadays purely because of the stereotype of the people who are typically english and proud. In the past it has tended to be the holligans at football matches who have been english and proud, which has given a bad image of patriots.To an extent the country has become too politically correct, but that is not the fault of minorities in most cases.the excuses which are commonly used to not joining the EU fully is the loss of soverignty and british identity, but the way i see it is that if Italy, Germany & France can join the EU and not feel this way then why should we.you mean it could fall if we dont join or if we do join?

Our currency rate in comaprison to the US is a bit too sweet right now, everything is extra cheap when ordering from the US, im pretty sure if we started using the euro that would get messed up somehow, but im not too sure about that stuff but personally anyone who wants to keep the pound just to make britain seem more independant to the EU is dumb, and arguements i've heard about keeping the queens head on the currency are dumb aswell because each country has their own custom coins/notes, meaning they could keep the queens head on the currency.
