West Ham are set to make a move for Roma's Mancini, skysports.com understand.The talented Brazilian has emerged as a target for Alan Curbishley - after Kieron Dyer broke his leg, joining long-term injury victim Julien Faubert on the sidelines.Both Lyon and Liverpool have strongly linked with moves for Mancini over the summer - but Roma have always insisted they had no plans on letting the talented forward leave.However, West Ham - who have huge financial clout through their Icelandic backers - are ready to make a move which they hope will be enough to land their man.The Hammers are set to make a number of moves ahead of the transfer window on Friday and they will be hopeful of making Mancini one of them.
They must like rejection, I'll give it to them for trying but they are trying to take Champions League players to a club with no current European football, no continental history for the last 10-15 years, unknown English manager & players and narrowly escaping relegation a year earlier, there only selling point is London & wages.

It's almost laughable.They need to build a european pedigree like TF said to stand any chance of attracting these types of players.
