VILLA IN TALKS WITH C DAVIES!!

Recommended Posts

Aston Villa are in talks with Curtis Davies over a proposed move to Villa Park from West Brom. The Baggies have given permission for the Premier League club to speak to the want-away defender, who has been left out of the West Brom side at the start of the season. Reports suggest Davies will join Villa for £9million, although West Brom boss Tony Mowbray insists the deal is not yet done. Tottenham have also been interested in the 22-year-old but Villa look likely to land the former Luton stopper before Friday's transfer deadline. "We've given Curtis permission to speak to Aston Villa but the deal is not concluded and is ongoing," Mowbray told the club's official website. "We'll wait and see if anything gets concluded. "The bottom line is Curtis hasn't contributed at all for us this season and, if he goes, we'll just get on with what we've been doing." West Brom have already brought in over £10million from the sales of Diomansy Kamara and Nathan Ellington and Davies could be next out of The Hawthorns' exit door. Its about time, he's gonna b big 4 villa

i think he'll prove his worth as time goes on, like Ashley Young he's a future England player.
yeah kinda agree 9 mils a bump but over time he'll be worth the fee and he'll be on low (ish) wages.

Upson is proven quality and £6 Million is about right.

Melberg will prob play right backor he might goto his old tried and tested 5-3-2-----------------------Carson--------------------------------Melberg----Davies-----Laursen------------Petrov----------Reo-Coker----------Bouma------------------Barry-------------Young-----------------------------------Agbonlahor--------------------------------------------Carew----------------------Something along those lines with maybe gabby more on the right to track back and help out petrov, with your strongest defender also on the right side to make sure no one exposes it as well as being able to allow Young to go out wide on the left to put balls into Carew.Would also see Barry get in the box a lot more.

MON will play Cahill or Gardner at RB ahead of Mellberg.Mellberg filled in there last season and has played there for Sweden, but he is NOT a full back.Hes a very good centre back, but hes absolutely shite on the ball and his distribution is terrible. It wouldnt suprise me if Davies was put there though, MON often likes to play younger lads slightly out of position like Gabby on the right, Young upfront, Gardner at RB, Steven Davis at LM because he said it helps them in the long run. Also, it would give Davies another seasons prem experience where his mistakes wouldnt be as costly, when next season he can move into the middle and be long term succesor for Mellberg.

Yeah.Kcuzcak was the same to Man U last season. It's because if WBA recieve anymore in Transfer fee's they have to pay bare tax on it or something. So the money goes through next season so they don't have to pay as much out.
