it would stop bots signing up and flooding the forum

so they will be locked of from the rest of the forum while in this intro room?

yeah, everyone would be able to post in the intro room, but until they make an introduction topic (saying their name, where they're from, proof they're human etc.) they won't be able to access the other rooms

hmmdo u think that they will carry on posting after they introdue themselves or go back to their lurking ways?
