skipping

heard that skipping is one of the best things to do for cardio. someone told me that 10mins of skipping is eqvilant(sp) to 30mins jog, no idea if thats tru. but i brought a good rope and been tryin, but cant do more than 30 secs before i f*ck it up. Is there a special technique to it that im not getting?

Yea i like skipping with the slightly shorter ropes it's easier that way, but apparently the rope's ment to be at a length that comes up to the person's armpits/shoulders from the ground.But in terms of how effective a cardio you get out of it will obviously depend on the intensity of the skipping. Double skips non stop for a while are quite good still
