save £50 n get a better lookin, better spec one with a brand namehttp://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quick...0&InMerch=1the 50 u save, add like £6 and get a HD DVD player so u get HD sh*t instead of normal DVDhttp://www.yanex-store.com/products.asp?partno=DVD-HD870u can get HD DVD's now for liek £5 coz it lost the format war n they aint makin them after the summer or sutin, so u can still get soem good recent and older films.

Why you gonna encourage man to waste money on a hd dvd player. u sed it urself they aint making them soon, all the new films aint gnna be released on em are they ? would be a huge waste of loot buying one now that why xbox hd dvd player add ons are only £50 now.

why spend hundreds of pounds now on a bluray player unless u gt a PS3he wanted a DVD player i presume coz the first one had itthe whole package is jus £6 more than he TV he asked for n he can watch HD films, which is why i recommended itllow takin me for some n00b

So he's payin 2 watch all the hd films released up until it was discontinued ?To watch films in better quality ???? and ones that will come out not just old ones.

HD DVD and Blu Ray offer the same qualityand like i said, HD DVD's will be released until at least the end of the summer, plus the back catalogue availablehe didnt say he wanted a HD player, but i plugged that because in his post he posted something for £300 that had a DVD player, i posted what i felt was a superior product for £50 less and suggested a £56 HD DVD player, so he's paying £ more (+ P&P) for a better product. besides, he can still play DVDs on them or download HD DVD or Blu Ray rips, burn them onto DVD as 3x DVD which offers the same resolution as HD formats.if on the other hand he had asked for a HD player, i probably would have suggested the PS3.there
