Birmingham - Fuck it lets just start sending for everyone

Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan has blamed some of Steve Bruce's summer signings for their relegation from the Premier League.Blues suffered relegation back to the Championship on Sunday after Fulham picked up a 1-0 win at Portsmouth rendering Birmingham's 4-1 success over Blackburn as worthless.Sullivan who came in for abuse from sections of the St Andrews faithful, along with chairman David Gold, believes some of the blame for the club's failure must lie with former boss Bruce and his poor signings. The outspoken Blues chief singled out defender Frank Queudrue and goalkeeper Richard Kingson as big disappointments from the players that arrived at the club last summer."Where we went wrong is we brought in nine or eight players last summer and spread the limited resources we had when we'd probably have been better just signing three players and going for better-quality players," Sullivan told Sky Sports News."He (Bruce) thought he needed numbers - we went for numbers."So instead of going for quantity, we should have gone for quality some of those players have been incredibly disappointing."Franck Queudrue, I will name you one. We bought a third choice goalkeeper - a complete waste of space."I could go right down the list and nobody has really shone out."We spent £2.25million on Franck Queudrue and he has been a major disappointment to the club."Most of what we signed last summer has been a disappointment."The bottom line is we didn't improve the team last summer that is where it all started what we bought last summer."Sullivan is looking to sell his stake in the club after being hurt by the abuse aimed at him at the end of the victory over Blackburn.Sullivan claimed his children were brought to tears by some of the chanting during yesterday's final game of the season."I've got my young kids with me, my kids are in tears. I can't repeat what was chanted," added Sullivan."It's all f's and c's and w's, and things like that, which I don't need in my life."It isn't part of the game, as far as I'm concerned. It isn't acceptable."He added: "It's the venom. It wasn't just half a dozen people."At the end, you've probably got 1,000 people, 1,500 people on the pitch that ripped down goalposts."Those people ruined it for everybody."
Birmingham defender Franck Queudrue has hit back at co-owner David Sullivan's criticism of his performances this year and insists he did not play enough to be judged so harshly.Sullivan speaking to Sky Sports News earlier on Monday claimed some of former manager Steve Bruce's summer signings were to blame for their relegation from the Premier League.Queudrue was singled out as an example of one of the new boys who failed to meet expectations following his £2million switch from Fulham last August. But the Frenchman has wasted little time in responding and insists he was not selected frequently enough by Bruce's replacement Alex McLeish for a fair assessment to be made."It's horrendous. Obviously I cannot stay in a club where the chairman makes comments like that about the players," Queudrue told talkSPORT."He (Sullivan) should have pointed the finger at the players who have played most of the season."I don't like to say that because I'm a team player. I won't say anything bad about a player through the radio."He added: "If he wants me to respect him then he has to respect me first, before he makes a comment like that."If he wanted to make those comments then he could have come to the training ground this morning to say goodbye to the lads and say what he thought went wrong this season and what his thoughts were for next season."Queudrue is adamant that his professionalism during Blues' difficult campaign - which saw Bruce's departure and a failed and disruptive takeover bid from Carson Yeung - could not be called into question. He argued: "I didn't get enough games. He says he can name a list [of rubbish players]. So I want to see the list and who's on there. I didn't play so I don't know how to take that."I always respect the manager's decision even if sometimes I felt I should have played."I stayed fit, I played all the reserve games that I could - I have nothing to worry about when it comes to my professionalism."You can ask anyone who comes to see us train or you can ask the players and they will tell you the truth. I cannot accept that criticism from someone I have not seen all year."Despite Sullivan's tirade, Queudrue does not see his exit from St Andrews as inevitable. He added: "If he thinks my wages are too big and he wants to push me out of the club then we can find an agreement to sell me."I love this club, I love the area and the fans have been great despite the results."If I'm still here next season then I'll give 100 per cent like I always do."

Bullshit really. Had Bruce been allowed to finish what he started I'm sure Birmingham would have stayed up.

Queudrue actually made Sullivan look like a d*ck. The results where he played were on the whole good. Mcleish made some weird decisions though in my opinion, Kapo was playing well at the start of the season and scoring goals but Mcleish didn't seem to pay him any mind.

:D typical! They had to point the blame at some others instead of themselves. You know what i just hope they get promoted so we can show how much better we are than them.
