Gone 2 Far?

Recommended Posts

Going on after the Uefa aftermath and all the events from the past,Have we as a nation with all of the deaths/violence/controversy of the past taken the game of football too far and too serious? And if so why?You don't see killings, riots, organised fights, stabbings and so on associated with ANY other sport - not that I can think of anyway... and even if there is NOWHERE near on the level of that within the football world.Little discussion for you :D

Football is like modern age tribal tendancies. You feel proud of your area, in this case club, and will defend it, fight for it against other areas impossing on you, in this case other football clubs ie. matches taking place.Hooliganism died in the late 80's anyway in the UK.There is little to no trouble at all now across Britain anyway.Yesterday was inevitable trouble was going to happen, 100,000+ drunken scots in England.....

I resent that comment, cause Celtic fans' behaviour record when travelling in Europe (including England) is impeccable.Rangers fans just can't seem to behave themselves when they travel. They always blame the police, but it's their scummy fans' faults.

As soon as you fully commit yourself to a football team you've entered a relationship that is more likely to last than your marriage, so taking it very seriously is expected. I don't think their is a major problem with the way teams are supported in the UK when you compare with places like Italy.

Shut up and go watch football in Eastern Europe/Turkey/ItalyI don't want to see the word England in this discussion because it has no place there. Bunch of Prawn Sandwich eating fans these days.

Basically.English hooliganism is dead. The odd riot doesn't mean it's back to the 60/70's.Can't excuse Rangers though, they took the piss.
