nah but im thinking of it, or maybe just a bigger optical drive for my macbook
have 180gb atm wanna go 500+ so i dont have to use an external drive for my media as much.
anyone replace there macbook HDD?

Optical drive is your CD/DVD drive.
They're referring to their HDD. You have Sata by default but SSD is there. It's too expensive IMO right now. You will be able to get it far cheaper in about 6 months if you really want it by then.

if you have money for a mac, you have money for an ssd...
I recently got a 13" Macbook air, no need for a drive, and it has a 128GB SSD drive. I'm always banging on about ssds, definitely worth the money, makes such a difference.
I just use my main pc to store everything I need, and then share what I need on the drives with the mac.
