What does a recording studio technician do?

I've been working as a pretty much a assistant engineer for a fair amount of the summer but I wanna know if 'technnician' works better for me.

Engineer/technician are mostly interchangeable terms for the same thing.

Sometimes the technician may refer to a person who is responsible for all the equipment working corectly etc but that would be in large studios.

its decent if you know how to use it. there's certain groups to join for each different field of work. get news info and vacancies, but can be useless if you have nothing to show/offer

Are any of you signed up to Linkendln, how useful do you think it is?

Its useful in the sense you can connect with people in your chosen area, for example ive been able to connect with people in the NHL organisation and other professionals in north american ice hockey.

As far as employment goes im not so sure, its not something im on there for so havent really looked into it.
