EXACTLY the same thing happened to me in 2011

Ordered the new total 90's and injured my back warming up in them the first time I wore them... Didnt play again for 18months

Swear I argued twice a week for about year on this topic with no ground gained

Was going to make a topic but figured I would see if anyone already has made one.

 

I am trying to get back in to playing football again and it's such a struggle trying to get regular guys from work to play on a semi regular basis at least and therefore everytime something gets organised it falls apart because it's one offs for them and I understand real life takes priority.  Friends outside of work either are unreliable or are playing football faaaaarrrr away from where is reasonable to travel.

 

Has anyone ever tried just looking for teams on one of these ad sites (gumtree, etc.)?  I don't know what to expect in all honesty with that but I will really wanna get back into playing football at least once/twice a month on the weekend.  Or does anyone on here play and they need extra people to get numbers or know anyone looking for someone.
