REALIABLE ebay altnernative??

was thinknig of using ebid?do i need to have a current account coz only got a basic account (yes i know "lol @ not having a current account in 08 blah f*ck*ng blah).also do they take paypal? and with paypal do u need a current account too?or is ebid just one of many auction sites?looking to sell aload of random sh*t and ebay closed me down over fees time ago.
