Linux/Ubuntu Problem.

I've got ubuntu installed on my laptop but the sound seems to have disappeared.It's weird cause it stopped working right after I watched the PS34Life guy on youtube.The hardware/software is not on mute and i unmuted everything in the sound mixer.Could it be that Sony are after me?
