What's Spirit?

• Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on the latest firmwares.

Uuuummmm. Not sure on this 1 as the whole internet tethering is fickle.

But if you have a phone which needs Jailbreaking only for your custom theme, hacked appz and sh*t. Then spirit will get it done for you.

I replaced the glass/digitizer on my 3GS couple months back.

Aint as hard as you think and your phone looks spanking new after. Takes a while though, around 3 hours

where did you get the kit step?

Bought it off ebay for around £50 iirc

The longest part of it is taking the glass off the frame that has the Home button attached to it, that took about 60/70mins

But if I ever needed to do it again I would just buy the glass with the LCD and just replace everything instead of just the screen/digitizer, which would take 5 mins if that tbh

If you're already J/B then when you lauch Cydia look on the main page for something along the lines of "Make my life easier" if you haven't already done it.

Or if you have then it should have something along the lines of "this device has a 3.1 ECID SHSH on file"

But I would also recommend in using Umbrella to make your own local copy.
