XBox live & Mobile USB

Im moving next week and BT/Sky cant have my broadband up & running for 2 weeks after i move and we dont really want to be without net & Xbox live all that time.im thinking of getting a mobile USb modem thingy in the interim has anyone connected to xbox successfully with one or is it a waste of time?
