For long term investors, it maybe a good bet to buy some shares in Yahoo.I am thinking of doing it, its only a matter of time before Microsoft buy it. Earlier this year, when MS made a bid to buy Yahoo the Yahoo shares went up almost 50%. And Yahoo didn’t even sell it to MS. So imagine what the prices will be when Yahoo do sell.There are many websites where you can buy shares online, I am still looking at a lot of them to see what is best. Or you could go through your bank.

nice pointer i have looked into shares before but have never gone through with it, you have to put in alot of money to get decent returns one day i will though

Stocks n shares can easily send you to the poor house, I wouldnt even attempt to invest unless i had good 2 years knowledge and practical expierance behind me

can i not start small. cos my econs teacher said you can only lose what you put in and im not looking to buy more than £100 on shares.lol @ woolworths website saying down for essential maintenance

why are stocks put in this room? and lucapiano thats bull. you can start small. when investing in stocks dont expect some short term thing.. thats why most small time gamblers wouldnt have the foggiest clue about stocks cos they think its like betting on the result of a chelsea match. stocks are long term risks wether you invest $10 or $1m.
