Ability wise he's proved he can match the top guys so it's a question of his mental state. I think Murray is mentally tough so I think it's definitely a possibility he could win the Australian Open.

wld be good for the scots i can finally care to take notice of him, i never knew much about him until i started seeing him in other tournaments outside wimbledon, and as not staying in the uk all last yr i began to hear about him more on US sports channels. unlike henman who did f*ckall, won f*ckall all yr and was expected to somehow win wimbledon.he has to be a favorite for the aus open.. but majors require a diffnt approach mentally so we'll see. seen @ how the papers now refer him as world no4... not british number 1 anymore. henman held that stupid title for time
