FAO law students: How are damages assessed in a court of law?

Recommended Posts

if its a breach of contract they'll usually pay out what was lost in money for the injured partyin terms of injury if nothing else will suffice its usually money as well but it usually depends on the facts of the case which determine what the available damages are.

Depends on the type of case , civil(tort , contract etc) or criminal. The courst usually take into context a lot of facts before they decide how much damages to award
