Making claims for compensation

Unless you actually dont work at the specific branch i suggest you forget the claim. 3 months tops you'll be gone.Car compo is a long winded process which you will need to make lots of phone calls, relentless e-mails and a 1-2-1 interview, but if your clever enough you can make a packet, claim for the whole shabang, back ache, nightmare, stress and muscle pains, which cannot be faulted especially muscle pains etc, you wouldn't need to prove that as it wouldn't show in scans etc.

Not trueI got £1200 for a minor cut to my face and a little bit of bruising, didn't go to a doctors or hospital once and the guy from the compensation company rang me, asked me a few questions and gave me updates reguarly after that..Whole process took about 3-4 months, it can take longer and you maybe forced to visit a specialist doctor to check your injuries and you can deny and accept offers you get given....Them guys doing compensation scams must be killing it.

sunday roast, u say its a long winded process, do you think it could be all settled within a year ?so with a broken arm, whiplash and bruising plus flashbacks, stress etc, how much do you lot reckon i could end up roughly getting ?

I bet the only thing that effects you is the Broken Arm, the courts don't pay out without a fight so unless you got hard evidence of stress, flashbacks you dont want to get caught slipping lieng or your the one who will be paying the penalties

Mate, you branded car compo as a long winded process not the company you used.Use a good company, google it or whatever and you will get paid nicely.

Oh yeah a year is definatly a realistic time, you dont want to accept the first offer aswell, so try and be freindly with whoever deals with your case, so she puts you first priority and all that, and I wouldn't like to say, at a guess there first offer will be around 12ish, but try get 24-30 grand...Make sure you ask ur doctor for a physio, have a few sessions, then say it got too painfull.

it was rather traumactic gettin cut out of my car by firemen whilst my head and neck stuck in some brace lock and i cant sleep well at night cos my left arm is stuck in a plaster cast.plus when i get a courtesy car or new car, wont be able to drive for a while so there is another inconveniance

Yeh but flashbacks and stress have to be for a prolonged period of time before deemed compensational, it's best you keep a record from a professional like your GP and give it 6 months, my mum had same sort of thing and trust me she had to fight incredibly hard

30grand??PMSLNo way, not a chance. If you get a cheque for that much, I will double it for you.
you've not sustained any life threatening injuries you've only sufferd a life threatening situation theres a difference and 30k is aiming very high

ye ive got all my x rays on a disc which the doctor at the hospital gave me.my back and spine are not damaged seriously but i still have pain in my back from the impact.going to see the gp on tuesday as well, get it all down on paper etcthe lorry driver wasnt injured, police have said its his fault but im thinkin what if the lorry company trys to offer me an amount on the side because they may not want the companys name caught up in a legal fight......dunno if that would be likely but i guess it is an option etc

A whiplash injury settlement is made either between the solicitors of the parties involved or by a court. It is possible to receive compensation for pain and suffering. However, the amount of compensation received varies from case to case ranging from around £1,000 to £25,000. It will depend entirely on the extent of your injury, the duration of your pain and recovery period, as well as the impact it has had on your daily life.
That's just whiplash.

i agree, 30 is way high, maybe if i was paralyzed or something 30 would be reasonable but its only minor injuries, shame the car didnt suffer minor injuries, its completely destroyedi was more or less thinking a few grand.

u see an option that came into my mind was get to my brother to go round to the lorry drivers house n say ' we can do this the easy way or hard way ' phil mitchell style but nah its not a good practical idea.for my brother was askin me what does he look like, did he apologize to u, where is he from etc but after all it was an accident, even though his lack of concentration caused me a very traumactic day on thursday, its best to go through the legal process.
