1, Account Co-ordinator at BBH (advertising agency)2, BA Advertising (2:1)3, I'm a showerman and I burst off bullseye shots (as far as I know there's only one other person like this, I know for that reason it doesn't qualify as 'unique' but it's still rare)4, At some point, starting up my own agency with like-minded people who want to make good work and have a laugh along the way. C'holla at me isn't it.
Actually, how does one go about getting into advertising?slashHas the advertising sector not been credit crunched?
Advertising has definitely been credit crunched. This story about my agency will highlight thatHowever, it's a brilliant industry to work in, good vibes, good times.I'd suggest applying for grad schemes if you're serious about working in advertising, however, I just wrote to a bunch of agencies I liked asking about entry level positions, started in the postroom here at BBH, now in an account team.
nice oneedit, do i need to be able to draw?
Only if you want to be a 'creative', and even then it's not a necessity, but there's several different areas you go in to within advertising:Account planning, account management, project management, finance, content, print production, TV production etc etc etc
im doin a marketing degreegonna look into advertising firms aswell after uni

Cud try online alsoSearch or Displaything with some advertising firms you will probably get sales types jobs once you start looking around. I remember when i first started looking for my career after uni and nearly all the replies and phone calls i got were from advertising sales companies...started to hate sales after i quit my part time role in retail

When I say advertising, I mean agencies that actually produce the creative work, not media buying agencies, or companies selling advertising space. That's a whole different ball game.
