KayGee
I have noticed there is no girly threads about, how about one for tips and tricks? So im a mac freak and im ashamed to say literally hand over half my weeks wage to the mac counter in bluewater.Im going to be doing a makeup course this year and will be doing free lance work for a while so the expense is gonna kill me..Have any of you girls managed to get a Mac-Pro Card?Im qualified in beauty therapy and nails, have done some free lance make up and can give proof for that.. Do you think this is enough to be able to apply for the card.------Gold rebel lipglass from Style Warrior collection is beautiful stuff. Natalie
What evidence do you have to provide for a Mac CardFurthermore, I think this should be a girly thread where we share not only make up but beauty related things.Anyone here use Jessica nail polish?Barry M trust my word you cannot go wrong. The amount of colours *fits*
KayGee
I used to use jessica but after having a look at the stool at CSL i didnt even see any colours that excited me, especially considering the price.Barry M however, the range of colours, the price, the quality >>>May be a long shot but does anyone know where i can get hold of Love & Friendship nail varnish from A Rose Romance collection at mac. Sold out everywhere but i want it so bad. (the lilac colour)
Guest Lisa Turtle
MAC FOREVERNow thats out of my system, my sister is doing a beauty therapy course and she's gonna learn how to thread eyebrows, facials/massages the worksWhich will save me an abundance of money2 of my friends work at MAC so I get my make up so cheap its unrealI am pretty gutted they stopped doing select tint because I hate heavy foundations, so now I'm using select spf...C/S Nats on Barry M nail varnish. I have about 30 different colours atm. I might do a beauty therapy course this summer (got one starting next week or summat) just to have that knowledge...I went to hairdressing school for a year when I was 19 so I could easily do that in my spare time too. KayGee
About the Mac-Pro card, i have two invoices copys, receipts and business cards. (for work done at a fashion shoot and a wedding)----------Does anyone actually use prep′, i found it abit too slippery when on my skin. Rippy
Barry M nail polish is the one!!Although I haven't bought any for a while. Been on the Nails Inc. tip.& Thankfully I also know someone that works in MAC. Quite pissed at them though after they no longer sell the two foundations I use. I've used that prep and prime before. Worked nicely. But I realised I didn't really need it. I think it ended up making my skin slightly dry too (By the end of the day once I've removed make-up). Guest Lisa Turtle
Yeah Natz its called Never a Dull Moment Scrub by Origins - its got papaya in it so the fruit acids speed up the cell turnover or some sh*tKG I think what you have should suffice, both my friends who work at MAC are doing Make Up at Uni so I think that helped them get the pro card before they even worked there, I'll double check.I've never been a primer type of girl but I've had this used on me before an eventand it worked really well, not slippery at all. Guest Lisa Turtle
Rips I think you mentioned that you used to use select tint (I was pissed when they d/c it too) but Select spf 15 is just as light in coverage, maybe you should try that.Nails INC I actually detest because despite how expensive it is it chips loads. However if you get the Everlasting Manicure in there, it really does last 3 weeks, although it costs 50 quid.Essie nail polish is nice too. thats about 8 quid a bottle. Ella
I don't use MAC foundation anymore cos their shade's either too dark or too light. I got stopped by rep for Victoria Jackson last month, mum convinced me to buy their set, and I've gotta say their bronzer works really well as a foundation. It's one of those one shade suits all kinda thing. And I've gotta co-sign Barry M nail varnish. colour 279's the sh*t! It looks so sick against my skin.
