This is such a stupidly uncomfortable thing to witness from a stranger.I remember once this horrible looking women who seemed to have lost the ability to wash at the age of 7 and must of have weighed 16 stone was breast feeding her child on the train opposite me.That would of been bad enough but for some reason she had both boobs out. So she was breast feeding with one and the other one was just chillin it's hype - completely bare next to it. To top it all off she kept looking to this teenager near me and smiling, I couldn't bring myself to look at his face but the 'Do not want' cat pictures spring to mind.. Weirdest train journey ever.

lol wtf? it isnt a cat
LOL
the reason why kittens and puppies arnt supposed to go out when theyre new born is because their immune systems arnt strong enoughthe same reasoning stands for human babies, you're not supposed to be having them out an about

you can take your baby out whenever you like,it doesnt have its first set of injections until 6 weeks so the 2 week part is bullshit. You are just advised to follow the rules of hygiene e.g noone get too close to the baby to avoid picking up colds etc and germs. Also wrap the baby up warmly.i took my son out after 3days and was not advised against it by either the hospital or midwife.any parents on here im sure didnt keep their baby indoors until vaccination.besides im pretty sure it would be the first bit of advice that the hospital would give to parents upon leaving the hospital if that was the case

Can I take my newborn outside? If you’ve been discharged from hospital, then it’s safe to take your baby outside, although you may want to have a few days at home before you venture into the great outdoors.
There are no hard and fast medical rules about how long to wait before taking a newborn out into the world, or letting outsiders near the baby. In fact, you should feel free to take your baby outside — you both would both probably enjoy a stroll outside and some fresh air!But if you venture out into public places, like malls, movie theaters, and airplanes, be careful to avoid exposing your newborn to infections that people carry. A newborn's immune system is still developing and may not be able to fight off infections.
