The small club from the South of France are a club that has plenty of spirit and I am sure they would have been boosted by the signings of Reda Madouni who is an expieranced centre back at European level at clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and winning the Inter Toto Cup with Montpellier and he'll proove to be a useful asset at this level. The most eye catching signing has to be that of Yancine Brahimi on loan from Rennes now let me tell you this boy is something special, he plays on the wing with a tremendous low centre of gravity causing havoc for defenders and midfielders a like with his dribbling ability plus his pace. The youngster recently played in the under 19s for France who went in most peoples notebooks after a succession of sublime displays and will be a name to hear off in the future but its always nice to have that match winner someone with a bit of class to open up a game as a betting proposition.Others to mention are Yatabare a Malian striker who has recently been called up the Malaian squad, he is a pacey striker that averages about 1 in 3 goals but has yet to get off the mark this year. The other to mention is Cedric Bockhorni who is an attacking left back that loves to get forward and can be a threat in the air from set piecesClaremont techincally started there season off in the Coupe De France beating Châteauroux away to an early Bockhorni goal, they followed this up 6 days later with a 2-1 home defeat to Avignon who had previously beaten Ajaccio contenders for the title. The club from Auvergne then ran into Nantes away which was a meer impossible task but still managed to score two goals in a 3-2 defeat which is something I am sure the manager will build on.It is a 400 odd mile trip down to Auvergne for Laval and the stadiums not a spectacular site, its a trip they haven't liked in recent times losing 5 out of their last 5 visits and I haven't seen anything to see why this should change. This should be a match in which Claremont can back to winning ways infront of their home fans and there has been signs of a good steady team building with their home form going to be a key in their success this year.
