He will get us knocked out of the cup next week me thinks.

Then have to leave.

By winning he probs just allows more time for NESV to pick a new manager nothing more.

Just hope they have a decent short-list, there are a few coaches out there that could fit their objectives.

"I cannot wait to arrive in Liverpool, the city of the Beatles," Marek Hamsik told the club's official website.

"Anfield is one of the greatest stadiums in the world. It will be a very hard game.

"But it would be extraordinary to win there."

Course he f*ck*ng would. He loves us. That was like a "I love this club, come and get me" statement cos there were rumours flying during that period as well.

Despite Saturday’s last-gasp win against Bolton, Hodgson’s persistent failure to elicit consistent results and performances from his team, as well as the breakdown of his relationship with the club’s fans, has convinced Fenway Sports Group to bring forward their initial plan to review his position in the summer.

Even after deciding they must act swiftly to replace the 63 year-old, the group’s principal backers, John W Henry and Tom Werner, had hoped to make the first managerial appointment of their reign a permanent one. They are believed to have examined the credentials of a number of candidates, including the Porto manager Andre Villas Boas and Marseille’s Didier Deschamps.

The Victor Chandler odds checker for the new manager of Liverpool FC is a curious sight. The usual suspects are there, pride of place at the top of the li… hold on. Who’s Ralf Rangnick? And 6/1? That means there’s a remote possibility this fella could take the helm at our beloved club, doesn’t it?

Well, let’s find out eh? A few of you no doubt know all this already, in which case please weigh in with your views, but a great many of us have a few gaps in our knowledge of his work.

Today in Twitterland, Tor-Kristian Karlsen (check his credentials here: http://tkkarlsen.tv2blogg.no) says “should Liverpool go for Ralf Rangnick it’d be one of the most inspired and interesting managerial appointments ever in the Premier League in my opinion.”
