Why is it bare pool fans that i know don't rate him?

the media fans

will buy into any bullshit that the media spin up about a manager and they all reel off the EXACT same sh*t, word for word when you ask them what they don't like about any certain managers. They'll happily sit and brag about how much better the academy looks in the last couple of years and praise the same set of youngsters but ask them who was responsible for that turn around and they're baffled and drop some nonsense.

Kenny Dalglish today paid tribute to the supporters and staff of Liverpool Football Club after his second spell as manager came to an end.

Despite feeling a sense of disappointment at leaving his post, the Scotsman revealed the pride he has felt at leading the Club over the past 16 months - and thanked Fenway Sports Group for the way in which his departure has been handled.

"It has been an honour and a privilege to have had the chance to come back to Liverpool Football Club as Manager," said Dalglish. "I greatly appreciate the work that Steve, Kevin, the players and all of the staff put in during my time and feel proud that we delivered the Club's first trophy in six years winning the Carling Cup and came close to a second trophy in the FA Cup Final. Of course I am disappointed with results in the league, but I would not have swapped the Carling Cup win for anything as I know how much it meant to our fans and the Club to be back winning trophies.

"Whilst I am obviously disappointed to be leaving the football club, I can say that the matter has been handled by the owners and all concerned in an honourable, respectful and dignified way and reflects on the quality of the people involved and their continued desire to move the football club forward in the same way as when they arrived here.

"I would like to thank all of the staff at the Club for their effort and loyalty. I said when first approached about coming back as Manager that I would always be of help if I can at any time and that offer remains the same.

"Finally, I want to put on record my heartfelt gratitude to Liverpool's fans, who have always given me and the Club their unwavering support. Without them neither the Club nor I would have achieved anything."

Next step is to mutually terminate Carraghers contract

thanks carra you can join the back room staff

Do not want Carra as a coach tbh and it's often overlooked the f*ckery he did with his contract hours before we were taken over.

The CB that should be part of our back room staff is now the manager of Bayer, we slipped majorly letting him go.

FENWAY SPORTS GROUP AND LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB PART COMPANY WITH MANAGER KENNY DALGLISH

Search for new Manager begins immediately as owners pay tribute to 'legend' Dalglish

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) and Liverpool Football Club announced that Kenny Dalglish is to leave his post today as Manager after having his contract terminated.

After a careful and deliberative review of the season, the Club came to the decision that a change was appropriate. It is not a decision that was reached lightly or hastily.

The search for a new Manager will begin immediately.

Principal owner John Henry was fulsome in his praise for the outgoing Manager.

"Kenny will always be more than a championship winning manager, more than a championship winning star player. He is in many ways the heart and soul of the club. He personifies everything that is good about Liverpool Football Club. He has always put the Club and its supporters first. Kenny will always be a part of the family at Anfield.

"Our job now is to identify and recruit the right person to take this Club forward and build on the strong foundations put in place during the last 18 months."

Liverpool Chairman Tom Werner said it was a tough decision, but ultimately one that needed to be made.

"Kenny came into the Club as Manager at our request at a time when Liverpool Football Club really needed him. He didn't ask to be Manager; he was asked to assume the role. He did so because he knew the Club needed him. He did more than anyone else to stabilize Liverpool over the past year-and-a-half and to get us once again looking forward. We owe him a great debt of gratitude.

"However, results in the Premier League have been disappointing and we believe to build on the progress that has already been made, we need to make a change.

"We are committed to delivering success for our supporters and our ambition remains resolute to return this great Club to the elite of England and Europe, where it belongs."

Kenny Dalglish's departure brings to an end his second spell at the Club where, as a player, he won numerous honours, including six English league titles and three European Cup trophies. As Manager he won three league titles, two FA Cups and of course this season, the Carling Cup.

Dalglish said he is proud to have served such a great Club.

"It has been an honour and a privilege to have had the chance to come back to Liverpool Football Club as Manager. I greatly appreciate the work that Steve, Kevin, the players and all of the staff put in during my time and feel proud that we delivered the Club's first trophy in six years winning the Carling Cup and came close to a second trophy in the FA Cup Final. Of course I am disappointed with results in the league, but I would not have swapped the Carling Cup win for anything as I know how much it meant to our fans and the Club to be back winning trophies.

This

I like Carra but the way he handles his business is embarassing at times. I don't like his view point on some of the stuff regarding the club and too much has come out about his opinions on things for it all to be conincidence. I hope Sami does sick at Leverkusen, definately needs to return to the club in some capactiy in the future. Wanted him to stay and get the contract he wanted so that he could retire with us and go straight into a coaching role.

Agree on Clarke, defence has improved significantly this season.

We need Xavi Valero back tbh

Hmm, I guess the question is.. who is advising these guys on footballing issues?!

Martinez favourite? DPMO.

I just want a manager who won't bow to Jamie Carragher and that isn't afraid of not playing Gerrard if the team is doing well.

Benitez or AVB.

Lol at the delusional people who think Klopp would leave Dortmund.

Hours before we were taken over by FSG Carragher signed a new contract for 90k a week with the old board. A lot had been made of the 'moneyball' approach FSG have used at their other clubs so their was pretty much no chance of him getting that type of contract with them. Sorted himself out nicely.

There's a lot of underhanded and snidey sh*t that went on during Rafa's last season as well but that's a long post.

rafa got beef with carra so I'm banging on his drum for real

his removal is paramount

but the only problem I have with rafa is not giving the youth a chance. I want to be seeing Raheem next season in about 10-15 appearances at least as he is more than ready. I know he signed him yada yada yada but he only really gave a chance to insua

No disrespect to Martinez but I don't think his the right person for us. Not yet anyway. The pressures & expectations will be too much imo.

I don't want AVB tbh. We have big characters which would probably mean him not having control of the squard similar to his time at Chelsea. Carra will more than likely be one of them.

C/s all of that & pos!

Wow this guy is losing my respect fully

some scumbag move. I know he was one of the guys that was speaking to Hicks and Gilet and wanted the removal of Rafa as he "lost the dressing room"

He gave Darby, Kelly, Spearing and Robinson (youngest ever player to play for the club) their debuts as well to be fair.

Our youth system was sh*t when he took over so it took time for players that were good enough to come through, Sterling is coming through now but he was a Benitez signing.

What does this mean for Andy

Next manager might not rate hime and bench him

Kenny put A LOT of faith into him and he has showed nothing

Given the outplay on some players I can't see a mass overhaul because we won't be able to recoup that much.

Benitez enquired about getting Carroll when he was in charge so I wouldn't be surprised if he played him a lot was he to take over.
