Hard to explain how, but recently my strength gains have crept up again. My diet has been quite poor since Christmas. I haven't been hitting my calories/protein/carb goals at all.

But still....

Bench Press: 170kg 5 reps

DB Shoulder Press: 55Kg each arm 6 reps

One armed DB Row: 70kg 7 reps

T Bar Row: 160kg 6 reps

Barbell Curls: 65kg (inc. weight of bar) 6 reps

DB Curls: 35kg 6 reps

Will find out how Leg Press & Squat progress tomorrow.

Looking to cut in a couple of months and I am bracing myself for losing a lot of my strength. Not looking forward to it.

Bulking diet is going great atm, put on around 2/3 lbs last week

Morning

Weight gainer shake (I'm using mhp up your mass but will make my own once i've done the tub

Porridge pot

3 Boiled eggs

Lunch

Pastsa 200g and Tuna (make a dressing with olive oil, vinegar and bit of lemon juice)

Second Lunch

2 sweet potato's with 140gs of diced chicken breast

GYM

Post whey shake with whole milk

Dinner

2 Salmon Steaks + Noodles /  Rice etc

Nutrients

Protein - 283g

Carbs - 265g

Fat - 104g

Calories 3200

Carbs should really be higher, around 400g (for me personally as I'm an ecto) maybe but I'm going to keep tinkering until I find the right mix, most solid diet i've been on since I started gym.

Been making my own weight gainer on the weekend:

150g of oats

whole milk - 400-500mls

2 whey scoop protein

Banana

Table spoon of Honey

Table spoon of olive oil

2 Table Spoons of peanut butter

That shake is touching around 1266 calories, 88g Protein, 40g of fat, around 50g carbs.

3 / 4 weeks in on this and I've gained 4lbs on this diet, that includes slacking on the weekend.  :Y:

Swapped up 3 boiled eggs for a chicken sandwich instead, needed to up the carb count.

  • 3 weeks later...

Arghhhh, how did you break your hand flex?

Running in from the garden, slipped on wet grass, hand outstretched onto a the corner of a concrete slab step. Didn't even hurt that much at the time, only a week and a bit later, and in between was still lifting fairly heavy thinking it's nothing.

God damn one legged squats are harder than look. Did them assisted but even so my quads were on fire then, and now my quads and glutes are feeling it. On top of one legged calf raises, my legs are gone. Shit is beautiful.
