What stage did you brick / how?

Swear all it took was plug it in, load up a programme and press go.

tried quite a few roms

 

phone was fine but notice no signal or even imei number in settings ffs/ battery drained quickly

 

booted into recovery, i should have read around first but the reset option i chose just loaded the samsung logo and froze

i did it 3 times last week

 

just boot into download mode and flash a diff ROM with odin or something

 

i used diff settings with my ROM id put in the storage on the phone and it worked, i was getting excited with different kernels, modems etc

kernel is like part of the firmware or operating system, different ones offer different features/functionality afaik

I describe the kernel as the base that the rom sits on

Some kernels allow over clocking, under volting, audio enhancements, general optimisation etc

yeah i dont really understand what the kernel is. got rather excited, seemed pretty simple

 

first one i flashed the phone kept restarting every hour or so

 

second one didnt even turn on

 

third one was mad slow

 

2 of them just kept it in the boot loop

Kernels are rom specific, flash the wrong one and your phone won't boot

Best thing about this Rom is you can change the DPI settings to make more use of the screen real estate.

Haven't got round to rooting my Android phone/tablet yet, but for those that have I just saw this today. Should really improve the performance/lagging issues.
